Maribel Yasmina Santos (Habilitation, PhD), Full Professor at the Department of Information Systems, University of Minho, Portugal, where she is also a Senior Researcher at the ALGORITMI Research Centre (http://algoritmi.uminho.pt) and at the Engineering Process Maturity and Quality (EPMQ) domain of the Computer Graphics Centre (http://www.ccg.pt). She was the leader of the Software-based Information Systems Engineering and Management Group (http://semag.algoritmi.uminho.pt) at ALGORITMI (Jan. 2017 - Set. 2022), where coordinates the "Organisational and Analytical Data-intensive Systems" research track.

Her research interests include Business Intelligence and Analytics, and the focus in Big Data Analytics, with particular attention to data warehousing and analytical techniques and tools, such as on-line analytical processing. In the decision-making process, special attention is given to the spatio-temporal component of the data, reason why many of her research works address spatial data warehousing, spatial data mining, spatial on-line analytical processing, spatio-temporal data models and spatial reasoning.

In terms of classification for international professional associations, her work addresses:

• Association for Information Systems (AIS) Topics: Decision Support and Analytics (SIGDSA); Geographic Information Systems (SIGGIS) and Big Data Application Processes (SIG-BD).

• IFIP Topics: Technical Committee TC8 Information Systems – WG 8.3: Decision Support Systems.

• Information Systems - Decision Support Systems: Data Warehouses, Online Analytical Processing, Data Analytics.

Maribel Yasmina Santos was:
